David X Martin started his career at PwC (http://pwc.com) providing litigation support services on major cases involving financial and accounting issues. He worked on United States Justice Department vs IBM for David Boies then a Partner at  Cravath, Swaine & Moore  developing financial information for the case.

Highlights:

Valuation, Risk and Hedge Fund Practices – SEC. Valuation of litigation receivables for an alternative asset fund.

Risk Management – Defense of a major mutual fund complex sued by investors for inadequate risk manageme​nt during the financial crisis.

Investment Management Practices – International investors v. a non-U.S. oil company. Hired by Cleary Gottlieb to provide expert witness testimony on the emerging markets investment management process and on how global investors manage risk. Also engaged with the brief deposition teams on how to ask the right questions.

Governance – Cayman Islands. Defense related to the proper governance of a Cayman Islands funds servicing company and the management of a master feeder structure.

Cybersecurity – Served as a consultant to a case involving a whistleblower  and a Cloud related service.

Accounting Issue – Bath Iron Works v. U.S. Military Sealift Command (U.S. Navy). Member of the PwC consulting team that worked with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft on litigation strategy.

Investment and Valuation – Joshu​a Feibush v. Knightsbridge Capital Management.

Damages – Defense of a global leader in market making and execution services regarding a damage claim.
